LEGEND at COUNCIL ROAD
Legend at Council Road is an assisted living and memory care facility, located at 11320 N. Council Road.
Join us on the third Thursday of each month from 10-12.
We teach the ladies how to hand sew 5" blocks together into a nine-patch.
Anyone who can sew a little is welcome to join us.
The ladies are a joy and so very sweet, it is very rewarding working with them.
As this is a memory care facility, some of the ladies do not remember we come each month and others enjoy just watching or looking through the fabric, playing with the blocks!
Please take a couple of hours out of your month to volunteer with our seniors and keep the quilting spirit alive for these ladies.

THE GOOD WORKS of ST. JOHN'S
St. John's ministers to a large group of people-including COQG-in a variety of ways and since quilters are known for their generosity, we certainly want to do our share.
They can use donations of nonperishable food items, particularly canned goods. Monetary donations are always appreciated.
Paper and plastic bags are welcomed. Place your donated items in the box provided in the main hallway.
To extend our appreciation for the use this wonderful church for all of our meetings, plus storage, let's be generous in our continued support of the good work St. John's is doing for the community.

PASSAGEWAY SHELTER
The Quilt Show committee has again chosen
Passageway Shelter
as the charity which will benefit from the raffle quilt ticket
sales. Please do your part in raising money for this worthy organization.
The
Passageway Shelter
is the only shelter in OKC exclusively serving women and children who are the victims of
family violence. Passageway is an emergency shelter, providing help in obtaining legal services, transportation,
housing information, medical care, child care and advocacy services for up to two months. Clients attend domestic
violence education and support groups during their stay.
The Child Advocates offer education and support to help
children avoid further victimization, verbalize feelings, learn appropriate ways to express emotions and understand
what is occurring in their families.
