President's Challenge

 

Every year, the COQG President issues a challenge to the Guild members. At the end of the year, guild members share their creations during an anonymously judged contest. The winners receive a prize! Below are the rules for the year's challenge. 

CATEGORY 1:  Black and White with 1 "pop of color"

Rules:

1. The black fabric can be a solid black or a tone on tone. The white fabric can be a solid or tone on tone. You can also mix solids and tone on tone in your quilt. Add only 1 additional color to make your quilt pop! If you are using a batik (or any other print) it must read in one color way.

2. Name your quilt!

 

CATEGORY 2: Black and White with 2 but no more than 3 "pops of color"

Rules:

1. The black fabric can be a solid black or a tone on tone. The white fabric can be a solid or tone on tone. You can also mix solids and tone on tone in your quilt. Add 2 but no more than 3 additional colors to make your quilt pop! If you are using a batik (or any other print) it must read in one color way.

2. Name your quilt!

RULES FOR BOTH CATEGORIES

3. Your quilt has to be at least 45" wide and 45" long or larger.

4. You may enter one quilt in each category.

5. All quilts need to be finished. Backings may be any color.
